Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents, Winona Ryder's parents, gave her the name of the town she grew up in. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father is from a Jewish family. Ryder believes she is Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. In the year Ryder was seven, her family relocated to Mendocino County California. They didn't have electricity. Ryder was a voracious reading book because there was no television. Ryder started to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre when she reached the age of 12. At the age of 15, Ryder landed her first part onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder was bullied in high school. Her hope was that acting might change the situation. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. But that didn't stop her making plans for her future. In 1988, she received her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder had a successful role in numerous films. In 1993, Ryder was in the running twice for Academy Awards.
